I am deep within your soul

hiding, beating every moment

I was given the job not just to keep you alive

but to make you live

I feel all your emotions, be it pain or joy

I carry inspiration, I make you aspire

I bring that smile on your face

I bring those tears to your eyes

I ask you to be lonely at times

sometimes, I give you wings to fly

I make you powerful, I fill you with enthusiasm

I tell you to be gentle

I make you fall in love

you never see me

I am still beating in you

I am your tiny heart

often these eyes

have shed many tears

careless heart

is the culprit

vulnerable yet stubborn

it refuses any discussions

snatches the permit from brain

to take any decisions

charming yet silly

this heart

ends up breaking itself

never learning

from its mistakes

forever reckless, this heart

an Apology Reckless

I demanded today an apology from my heart

for I have suffered a million times of it’s recklessness

I know it is sorry today, really

I also know, it will make me cry again tomorrow

at the end of the day, it is my HEART

isn’t it meant to be so

I guess, I will have to forgive it again

they leave me bewildered, puzzled

a constant argument, an endless debate

between my heart and my brain

i wonder which one to follow

for my brain wants to be a perfectionist
