she closed her eyes
for the pain was overbearing
she let it fall through her tears
but the salt was not enough
it could only dissolve a little
she could envisage for its heaviness
the pain was never going to abandon her
it was only to grow
piercing her deeper
in the days to come
in the years to pass
till death eventually
shall honor her
her peace
#pain #death

A very sad poem. I appreciate your willingness to go deep into our shadow sides, despair and hopelessness so few dare to go there. To experience joy we must hold these parts of us with great care.

True my dear! To feel the real good, we must be willing to experience the worst..

Till death eventually shall honour her peace! – I think that was the most graceful line in the poem and it will stay with me for a long long time! 🙂
